Cooper Township, MI – Authorities have identified a 75-year-old woman found dead in her home on North 14th Street as Lulubell Rose Vanwezema.

According to a news release from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, autopsy results are still pending, however it is believed that her death may have been caused by exposure to extremely high levels of carbon monoxide in the home.

Deputies were called to the address in the 8000 block of N. 14th Street. at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, March 7, by family members who found the woman and reported a strange smell coming from the house.

Cooper Township firefighters responded and found the carbon monoxide level inside the house was extremely high.
