Ypsilanti, MI – Two people were taken to the hospital Saturday, Sept. 2 after carbon monoxide poisoning in an Ypsilanti apartment.
At about 4 p.m., Ypsilanti Fire responded to River Drive Apartments on Huron River Drive for a report of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Capt. Richard Barnabo said they found a stove was giving off carbon monoxide and they evacuated the building.
Huron Valley Ambulance took two patients to the hospital, he said.
Firefighters removed the stove, ventilated the building and residents were able to return to their apartments by 6 p.m., Barnabo said.
