Iowa Park, TX- Two Iowa Park residents were taken to the hospital, after being poisoned with carbon monoxide Tuesday.
Iowa Park Fire, Iowa Park Police and Wichita Falls Fire responded to a home at the intersection of East Cash Street and North Victoria Avenue around 10:15 a.m.
They responded after the home health nurse went to visit and help the residents. She knocked on the door and tried talking with them, but they couldn’t answer the door and weren’t able to communicate clearly.
Police responded to the scene and Atmos Energy also responded to assist with testing.
Iowa Park Assistant Fire Chief Lewis Skinner said they had to break the locks in order to get in.
Both people were conscious and alert but had to be removed by paramedics.
A relative of the residents confirmed to Texoma’s Homepage both were poisoned by carbon monoxide. At last report, they were listed in good condition.
The cause of the incident in now under investigation.
