Minneapolis, MN – A Minneapolis condominium was ventilated and residents were allowed to return to their homes Thursday morning after a carbon monoxide leak Wednesday.
According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, the building is located on the 500 block of 2nd Street SE. The leak was traced Wednesday afternoon to gas-powered machinery contractors were using to clean the building’s parking garage.
The fire department stated levels were detected between 20 and 75 ppm (parts per million). According to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, that level typically causes impaired vision, headaches, dizziness, confusion and nausea.
