Springfield, MO – Police in Springfield are investigating the death of a couple in their home near the MSU campus.

Upon arriving on scene at the house on S. Kickapoo Friday afternoon, authorities found the bodies of the man and woman, who hadn’t been heard from in a while.

According to details from police, the victims were identified as Judith Crigger and Dwaine Crigger, both 70 of Springfield.

During the investigation, it was discovered the interior of the home contained a high level of dangerous carbon monoxide gas. Authorities did not provide details as to where the gas might have come from.

At this point, officers do not suspect foul play. However, the investigation is ongoing. Springfield PD asks anyone with information to give them a call at (417) 864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at (417) 869-8477.
