Washington, DC – A woman and small child were hospitalized after high readings of carbon monoxide were found in a building in D.C. Thursday morning, according to authorities.
The D.C. Fire Department says they were called to the the 200 block 56th Place, NE. The woman and child were taken to the hospital and two other people were checked and released by medical personnel, officials say.
Fire officials say the carbon monoxide was caused by a defective furnace.
