Fresno, CA – A Fresno family was transported to the hospital early Saturday after carbon monoxide gas filled their home near Fresno State.
The three adults and six children, whose ages were not provided, would have likely been in grave danger if their carbon monoxide alarm didn’t go off around 2 a.m., alerting them that noxious fumes were filling their home on East Keats Avenue near Shaw Avenue and First Street, said Pete Martinez, spokesman for the Fresno Fire Department. He said the family did not appear to be seriously injured.
Pacific Gas & Electric responded and confirmed carbon monoxide was coming from a heater/air conditioner and fireplace in the home, and both were shut down, Martinez said.
