Manchester, NH – A carbon monoxide leak at a Taco Bell on South Willow Street sent one worker to the hospital Thursday morning.

A couple of workers weren’t feeling well around 7 a.m. and one was sent by ambulance for evaluation, said District Fire Chief Michael Gamache.

The restaurant did reopen later Tuesday, according to an employee who declined to give her name.

She said the worker taken by ambulance needed to be checked out because she is a minor, the worker said.

“Nobody was harmed,” the worker said.

Gamache said the restaurant “had a piece of machinery that I was told was malfunctioning and producing carbon monoxide.”

A ventilation hood wasn’t working or wasn’t turned on, Gamache said.
