Rockville, MD – Two adults and three children suffered exposure to carbon monoxide after a car inside a townhouse garage was left running, authorities in Montgomery County said.
The incident happened early Wednesday morning on Gaither Road in Rockville. Few other details were immediately known. Those who were inside the home were taken to an area hospital.
Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas that is extremely dangerous because it is deadly and has no color or odor, authorities said. Exposure to it can cause flu-like symptoms of dizziness and vomiting. If a person is exposed for a long period, it can have more serious consequences.
