Van Zandt County, TX – A 63-year-old woman was killed in an explosion at a residence in rural Van Zandt County on Sunday evening.
The Van Zandt County Fire Marshal said the explosion was caused by a leaking propane line.
The incident happened around five o’clock, south of Interstate 20 along Farm-to-Market Road 47, about 50 miles southeast of Dallas.
The fire marshal said a fire followed the residential explosion.
Officials at the scene said four people live at the house, but no one else was home at the time of the blast.
