Great Falls, MT – A carbon monoxide leak in a house on Sunday sent three occupants to the hospital emergency room, fire officials said.
A 24-year-old female called 911 about 10:50 a.m., saying that her husband was vomiting, Great Falls fire Battalion Chief Chuck Rovreit said.
Fire and emergency personnel arrived at the home at 26th Street and 34rd Avenue South, and found not only the husband, but a 4-year-old boy and 17-month old girl were also affected by the leak, Rovreit said, adding the children had to be roused.
The three were transported to the emergency room. Their conditions were not immediately known.
The gas company was notified and the furnace was shut off so that it could not be restarted, Rovreit said.
