Newcomerstown, OH – Columbia Gas of Ohio officials believe natural gas was involved in a fatal explosion that destroyed a home at 540 Beaver St. Tuesday night.
Tuscarawas County Coroner Dr. James Hubert confirmed that a body was removed from the scene, but no identity `had been established.
The process of identification is ongoing, Hubert told The Times-Reporter. Hubert also noted that an autopsy would be performed, but has not yet been scheduled. He said the name of the victim would not be released until the identity had been confirmed.
