Canutillo, TX – A woman, boy were found on the floor of home with high levels of carbon monoxide Tuesday morning.

The woman called emergency officials claiming she felt weak and wasn’t feeling well, said El Paso County sheriff’s spokeswoman Chris Acosta.

When sheriff’s deputies, and the West Valley Fire Department arrived at the home in the 200 block of McKnight Street they found the pregnant woman and her 3-year-old daughter laying on the floor.

The 8-month-old pregnant woman and child were treated at the scene but taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure, said Acosta.

Both are said to be in stable condition.

According to West Valley Fire Department fire chief Bill Adler, the carbon monoxide levels were 432 parts per million (ppm) in the house.Adler said at 400 PPM, you can experience headache and nausea in 1-2 hours; occipital headaches in 2.5-3.5 hours.
