Los Angeles, CA – A carbon monoxide leak at an apartment sent one person to the hospital Sunday morning, according to an official with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The leak occurred near the 27000 block of Fahren Court, said Supervising Fire Dispatcher Bernard Peters.

The Fire Department’s Health Hazardous Materials Division got the call of the leakwhen emergency responders reported that a person sent to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital was exposed to carbon monoxide early Sunday morning, Peters said.

Hazmat crews responded to the apartment at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Peters said he didn’t know how many units were at the complex, but the leak was only in one unit. Crews stopped the leak and cleared the scene shortly before noon.

No other injuries were reported. The condition of the person was not known, Peters said.
