Gatlinburg, TN – An apparent natural gas explosion rocked a Gatlinburg resort and injured at least one person, officials said.
The victim’s name and condition were not released, but the person was airlifted by LifeStar helicopter to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment, Sevier County E-911 dispatchers told the Knoxville News Sentinel.
The explosion occurred at about 7:30 p.m. at the Tree Tops Resort at 290 Sherman Clabo Road, according to dispatchers.
