Johnstown, PA – Four people were taken to the hospital and two dogs taken to a nearby vet after firefighters found high levels of Carbon monoxide (CO) in their home.
Johnstown firefighters were called to the 200 block of Bond Street in the city’s Moxham neighborhood around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The fire chief says a faulty flue caused the high levels of CO in the home.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas which is toxic to humans and animals in high concentrations. Many stores sell Carbon monoxide detectors or combination smoke/CO detectors.
