Fair Oaks, MD – Seven people were sickened by carbon monoxide fumes at a house in the Fair Oaks area Thursday afternoon.
It happened in the 12100 block of Caldicot Lane. A Fairfax County Fire Rescue spokesman says three adults and two children were taken to the hospital. Another two people were treated at the scene. Investigators say there were no carbon monoxide alarms in the house.
The spokesman says the high CO level in the house was caused by a vehicle that had been left in the garage with its engine running.
