Charlotte, NC – Firefighters say a floor buffer isto blame for a carbon monoxide scare at a medical center in Charlotte early Tuesday morning.
A Charlotte Fire Department spokesman says a cleanup crew was using a propane-powered buffer while Fresenius Medical Center was closed for business Tuesday morning.
No one stayed at the facility on Hoskins Road overnight. But when employees arrived for work, carbon monoxide detectors were going off. At the same time, clients were arriving for treatment.
Firefighters were seen wearing masks as they assisted in evacuating everyone from the building.
Medic was seen checking out patients but did not anticipate taking anyone to the hospital.
