Pueblo West, CO – A Pueblo West family was sent to the hospital early Wednesday morning for carbon monoxide poisoning.

The fire department said high levels of carbon monoxide were found inside the family’s home, in the 100 block of Ensenada Dr.

A boy living in the home woke up feeling sick around 2 a.m. He then woke up his family members, and they noticed they weren’t feeling well either. Twelve people were taken to the hospital. All are in stable condition.

After inspecting the home, the fire department determined the carbon monoxide leak came from a faulty furnace. The family cannot return to the home until repairs are made.

The fire department said the family did not have a carbon monoxide detector.
