Falmouth, MA – High carbon monoxide readings led to the evacuation of an apartment complex Wednesday night, according to a Falmouth fire official.

Firefighters were alerted to the high levels of the odorless deadly chemical at the Gosnold Grove apartments at 364 East Falmouth Highway around 8:15 p.m., Capt. Greg Clements said.

No one was hurt in the 30 plus unit complex, he added, after plywood was found covering a heating unit in an area of the complex that was under construction. Two units would be without heat for the night, Clements said, and a flu was knocked out.

The building is expected to be inspected in the morning by the building department and fire inspectors.
