Vero Beach, FL – UPDATE: The state fire marshal’s office now says the cause of the explosion may be because of a propane gas leak in an adjoining laundry room.

However, the exact cause of the explosion will not be known until the gas line can be pressure tested.

VERO BEACH, Fla — Vero Beach Police, the Indian River Fire Department, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are looking into what caused an explosion at the Aquarius Motel in the 1500 block of South Ocean Drive.

According to investigators, the explosion happened in room 111.
