North Richland Hills, TX – An explosion at a North Richland Hills home has left at least one person injured, authorities say.
The explosion inside a house in the 8000 block of Harwood Road occurred just after 4 p.m., North Richland Hills Assistant Fire Chief Kirk Marcum said. It blew out several windows, but left the home largely intact.
Two unidentified people were in the home at the time, Marcum said. One was taken to a hospital with injuries. The second was believed to be OK.
The cause of the explosion was under investigation.
Saturday’s blast is the week’s second house explosion in Tarrant County. On Tuesday, a house in the 6500 block of Appian Way in Azle was destroyed by an explosion. Authorities suspect a gas leak was the cause. No one was injured.
