Charlotte, NC – Eight people had to be taken to the hospital after a carbon monoxide leak in east Charlotte late Wednesday night.
The CO leak forced nine people out of their Kavanaugh Drive home around 10 p.m.
Officials told Channel 9 it was an isolated incident and may have originated from a heater or furnace in the home.
MEDIC said the eight people they took to the hospital are all expected to be fine and crews told Channel 9 the residents are now staying with family members.
