West Babylon, NY – Two people from a commercial building on Route 109 in West Babylon were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital on Tuesday with high levels of carbon monoxide, Suffolk County police said.
Shortly after 11:15 a.m. a woman who had fallen was taken to the hospital where it was found she had a high carbon monoxide level, police said.
The building in the 200 block of Route 109 was then evacuated at around 1 p.m., and one more person was found to have high levels and was also transported to the hospital, said police, who had no information on their conditions.
As of around 3 p.m. the building was still evacuated, and police and several fire departments were on the scene, including Babylon, West Babylon and East Farmingdale.
