Cleveland, OH – The Cleveland Fire Department responded to two cases of carbon monoxide poisoning Tuesday evening.

One incident took place around 8:30 p.m. at 2186 E. 30 St. The small apartment had a woman, 31, and two girls, ages 8 and 3, living inside.

All three were transported to University Hospitals for evaluation. As of this morning, they were in stable condition. The gas was shut off to the home.

The second incident occurred at 3205 W. 41 St. A family of five was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center due to a natural gas tank not venting properly. The family included one man, one woman, an 8-year-old, a 9-year-old, and one younger child.

The gas was turned off at this home as well. The family was advised not to return to the home until the problem is fixed by a professional HVAC specialist.
