Duson, LA – Students and faculty at Charles M. Burke Elementary are reportedly evacuated from the campus due to a carbon monoxide leak.
An eyewitness tells News 10 that everyone is currently waiting across the street from the campus.
Lieutenant John Babin with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office says deputies are investigating the leak.
Crews from the Scott and Lafayette Fire Departments are also on scene searching for the cause of the leak.
