Hartford, SD – Five people were transported from a Hartford home to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls on Tuesday morning because of carbon monoxide exposure.
Hartford Area Fire and Rescue’s assistant fire chief Bryon Schumacher couldn’t share the extent of their injuries, but he did say everyone was conscious. The incident happened at about 5:30 a.m.
He couldn’t confirm how the incident was reported but thought it likely was one of the residents who called for help.
Hartford is about 15 miles northwest of Sioux Falls.
