Saginaw, MI – Carbon monoxide may be the cause of death for a Saginaw man and woman found in an Athens Street home on the city’s northeast side Monday night. Police officers said the home’s electricity appeared to not be turned on and a generator was found in the basement.

It was noted that the bodies showed no signs of trauma.

Carbon monoxide was cited as a “90 percent certainty” by Saginaw Police Chief Brian Lipe at a neighborhood meeting on Tuesday.

The names of either resident, as well as a cause of death pending autopsy results, have not been released by authorities.
