Eugene, OR – Hundreds of people evacuated their homes on Sunday afternoon after fire crews found high levels of carbon monoxide in an apartment complex.

This happened at The Patterson apartment complex on the 1300 block of Patterson Street and 13th Avenue. And it affected 180 people.

It was originally reported as a gas leak. Eugene-Springfield Fire tells KEZI 9 News that some backpack leaf blowers were left on inside of a parking garage and eventually gave off high levels of carbon monoxide.
