Winston-Salem, NC – Seven businesses were evacuated after firefighters found high levels of carbon monoxide inside the building.
The Winston-Salem Fire Department responded to 266 S. Stratford Road at approximately 10:53 a.m. Saturday after a report of a strong odor.
Firefighters found extremely high levels of carbon monoxide in seven businesses, a press release said.
The release said the carbon monoxide came from construction work at Ichiban Restaurant located at 270 S. Stratford Road.
Firefighters ventilated the building and allowed people to reenter them once the air quality improved.
No one was injured.
