Georgetown, TX – Autopsy results are pending on a Georgetown man who investigators believe died of carbon monoxide poisoning. His name has not yet been released.
The man’s wife asked Williamson County sheriff’s deputies at 7:18 p.m. Sunday to check on her husband after she had been trying to communicate with him throughout the day, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Deputies found the man dead in the garage of his house in the 1000 block of Segundo Drive, the release said. He had been working in the garage on his mower, said Patricia Gutierrez, a sheriff’s spokeswoman. The Georgetown Fire Department arrived shortly after the deputies and found high levels of carbon monoxide in the garage.
