Grand Junction, CO – An apartment explosion in Grand Junction sent one man to the hospital Monday afternoon.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, the explosion happen around 3 p.m. at 445 4th Avenue in apartment 10.
Officials say fire was quickly put out; they believe the explosion was caused by natural gas leaking from a stove.
The apartment is a complete loss. None of the other units at the complex were damaged, or evacuated.
Officials add that there was one cat found inside the structure and it was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and possible burns.
