The Trumbull County Coroner’s Office has ruled that acute carbon monoxide poisoning caused the deaths of a father and his young son in Howland, Ohio. The victims have been identified as 33-year-old Leonard James Roosa and his 8-year-old son Leonard Lee Roosa. Their manner of death has been classified as accidental.
They were found in a home on Mines Road. Because carbon monoxide levels in the house were dangerously high, firefighters initially could not enter until the home had been ventilated. Officials noted there was no indication of forced entry or foul play.
