Colorado Springs, CO – No one was hurt after an explosion inside a Colorado Springs mobile home park Wednesday night.
“It literally lifted us off of the beds,” said neighbor Alexis Christian.
The incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. at Sleep Village Mobile Home Park off Fillmore and Nevada. Our 11 News crew at the scene saw damage to at least one trailer, and firefighters confirmed debris flew into nearby trees.
Firefighters are still trying to determine what exactly exploded.
“At this point, it’s still under investigation what caused all that damage. Colorado Springs Fire Department is working with [Colorado Springs} Utilities to figure that out,” said firefighter Rick Schmidt.
“My initial thought was that either my propane had exploded, or … somebody hit the house with a vehicle,” Christian said.
