DuBois, PA – A DuBois family of five was taken by DuBois EMS Ambulance Tuesday morning to the Penn Highlands DuBois Emergency Room for possible carbon monoxide, according to DuBois Volunteer Fire Department Chief Ben Blakley.
Firefighters from DuBois’ Fourth Ward and volunteers responded to a report of carbon monoxide inhalation at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday at a home located at 126 W. Scribner Ave.
They were feeling nauseous, a symptom of a carbon monoxide inhalation, said Blakley, noting that it could also be a flu symptom.
The firefighters responded to the same location at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday for the same reason, he said.
Though there were no carbon monoxide detectors in the home on Sunday, the family did have them on Tuesday. The alarm did not go off on Tuesday, however, he said.
Both times, the firefighters secured the scene for DuBois EMS and National Fuel, which checked the home for carbon monoxide.
