Town of Pelican, WI – One woman collapsed at a home south of Rhinelander on Thursday morning. She and another family member were rushed to a hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning.

Sammy Spencer said his family started feeling sick and had headaches Wednesday at their home on Buckhorn Lane. Then around 11:30 Thursday morning his sister fainted.

“My mom said she felt faint and I walked out of the house to get my dad when I heard my sister fall and my mom screaming,” said Spencer.

The Spencer’s said they believe the carbon monoxide came from the hot water heater. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said the family’s carbon monoxide alarm did not go off.
