Fort Collins, CO – Sprouts Farmers Market in south Fort Collins was closed for hours on Thursday while firefighters investigated a carbon monoxide issue.

Poudre Fire Authority responded about 8:30 a.m. to the grocery store at 4345 Cobett Drive on reports of a carbon monoxide alarm. Firefighters evacuated the store as a precaution, and crews worked through the morning to resolve the situation, which stemmed from some damaged equipment, the agency reported.

After the building was extensively ventilated, the store re-opened about 12:50 p.m. Nobody became ill, and no injuries were reported
