Washington, DC – Two people were taken to a hospital Thursday after they were apparently overcome by carbon monoxide at a Southeast D.C. church.
Someone called 911 around 9:30 a.m., saying there was a possible carbon monoxide issue at St. Peter’s Church, located at 313 Second Street SE.
First responders arrived to find two people not feeling well; they were taken to the hospital. The conditions of the two people are currently unknown.
Crews are still trying to determine the origin of the carbon monoxide.
Police were not allowing traffic to pass in front of the church.
