Danville, VA – The Danville Fire Department says new carbon monoxide alarms may have helped save lives Friday.

As soon as the Fire Department and the Danville Lifesaving Crew got into a home Friday morning, the carbon monoxide alarms on their medical bags went off. They were able to get everyone out. One person did go to the hospital for another medical emergency.

The Danville Gas Department came to fix the problem. The alarms were just added to the bags the first week of this month.
