Santa Fe, NM – Santa Fe police say parts of the Santa Fe Place Mall have been evacuated.

After people were complaining of headaches and dizziness, the fire department was called. They were able to recognize the symptoms and tested for carbon monoxide.

The mall was evacuated without incident because of the carbon monoxide leak. Authorities believe the leak may have been caused by some of the equipment used to renovate the mall.

Officials say to avoid the mall area. Police believe the area will remain closed until Friday.
