Milwaukee, WI – The medical examiner’s office responded to a death west of downtown Tuesday night.
Police said the victim was a 55-year-old man, WITI reports. It is believed he died because of high carbon monoxide levels, which were caused by a faulty stove.
A family member found him unconscious. Responding Milwaukee Fire Department officials found high levels of carbon monoxide in the victim’s home, an apartment near N. 24th St. and W. Kilbourn Ave. No other injuries were reported. No further information was available at this time.
