Charlottesville, VA – A local plumber had a Friday afternoon he probably won’t forget. There was a natural gas explosion that triggered a fire shortly before 4 p.m. while the plumber was at a job site a short distance from Georgetown Road.
He was taken to UVA Hospital after suffering minor injuries investigators say were not life threatening. The plumber and the owner of a house in the 200-block of Terrell Road West were the only people in the house at the time. The homeowner was not injured but had to find other accommodations for the night.
