Phillipsburg, PA – Six people with symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure were transported Monday morning from a Phillipsburg apartment building to area hospitals, according to emergency radio reports.
Elevated levels of carbon monoxide were reported at 814 S. Main St. after the 5:26 a.m. call, dispatches say. A CO detector was going off in Apartment 3, according to the Warren County Department of Public Safety.
It addition to Phillipsburg EMS, the Easton Emergency Squad crossed the river to assist, a Northampton County emergency dispatch supervisor said.
Emergency personnel were weighing taking victims to St. Luke’s Hospital in Phillipsburg and St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill, dispatches say. Roads were becoming icy as rain fell.
