Wilmette, IL – Three Wilmette residents were brought to the hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning after a gasoline generator running in the basement of their home caused the toxic gas to leak into the house, police reports state.

One adult male was found unresponsive in the kitchen of the home on the 500 block of Karey Ct. on June 26. An adult female asleep in the upstairs bedroom showed elevated levels of Carbon Monoxide. The adults, along with their son, were transported by the Wilmette Fire Department paramedics. The 62-year-old father was later transferred to Lutheran General Hospital.
