Garfield, NJ – Four people were taken to the hospital after being exposed to carbon monoxide on Christmas morning in their single-family home, police said.
All were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center and appear to be fine, said Officer Mario Pozo.
One resident found a family member passed out around 9:30 a.m. and called police.
Police, fire and emergency medical service professionals responded to the home at 35 Garwood Court and removed the four people from the home.
A Clifton couple died this month and a number of people were hospitalized after they were overcome by carbon monoxide at a building in Passaic.
