Havre de Grace, MD – Three people were hospitalized from carbon monoxide at a property on the outskirts of Havre de Grace Monday afternoon, officials said.

The Susquehanna Hose Company responded to a call for medical attention on Kevin Road at Earlton Road.

Four people had been exposed to carbon monoxide as the result of a basement finishing machine in the 4200 block of Kevin Road, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

One person was taken to a regional trauma center equipped with a hyperbaric chamber, while two others were taken to local hospitals, Chenworth said.

A fourth person refused medical attention at the scene, she said.

In addition to the hose company, Chenworth said that Level Volunteer Fire Company and the Aberdeen Fire Department responded..

All injuries were believed to be non life-threatening, according to Chenworth, who said Maryland Occupational Safety and Health officials were investigating the incident.
