Massillon, OH- An adult and two children were taken to the hospital for treatment for suspected carbon monoxide poisioning.

Massillon Fire Department EMS Coordinator PaulMarkwood said the fire department was called to a southeast city home just after 7 p.m. Thursday. High levels of carbon monoxide were found in the residence, he said.

The adult was transported to Akron General Hospital and the two minors were taken to Affinity Medical Center.

Assistant Chief Larry Layne said a generator was running in the basement of the home.
