Travis County, TX  — The explosion of a propane tank on Thursday night resulted in the severe burn injuries of three people near Manor.

Austin-Travis County EMS and local fire and police departments responded to the scene in the 11400 block of Austex Acres Lane around 7:16 p.m.

The explosion reportedly occurred after a 200-pound propane tank that was attached to a line cracked and leaked into a home — causing the home’s walls to blow out.

ATCEMS reports the patients, two men and a woman, have severe burns. Two were flown to the hospital by STAR Flight helicopters. The other victim was transported by ambulance.

Authorities say while there is no active fire, there was significant damage to another structure.

The victims are reported to be all in their 40s and all have possibly life-threatening injuries.
