Marion, MA – MARION — Members of the police and fire departments Tuesday rescued three victims of carbon monoxide poisoning from a Cranberry Way home, police said.

At about 2 a.m., officers found the victims near the entrance to the home showing signs of carbon monoxide poisoning, Chief Lincoln Miller said.

The three victims, ages 35 to 70, were taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

There were “very high” readings of carbon monoxide levels in the house, and fire officials said it appears a generator exhaust was placed too close to a window opening, according to Miller.

Mattapoisett, Wareham and Rochester emergency personnel assisted Marion.
