Storm Lake, IO – STORM LAKE, Iowa | Two Storm Lake residents sickened by carbon monoxide have been released from the hospital.

Firefighters say Maurice Leonard and Lillian Leonard were sickened by inhaling fumes from a malfunctioning water heater in their home on North Walnut Street. They were rescued and taken to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center on Friday night.

A hospital spokeswoman said Monday that the Leonards were released in good condition on Saturday.
